WOW!! What a circuit
Nothing can prepare you for the 21km northern loop. Really is a 'has to be seen/driven to be believed experience'
Top tips for beginners.
Don't join the circuit at the weekend Adenau entrance for your first lap. We did

It was immediately obvious why someone had only managed to last 7 seconds on the ring
Do switch off your mobile phone. Otherwise you might receive a call from a 'helpful' spectator 5 seconds before you go through the entry gate for the first time. "Stephen, Adenauer-Forst is excellent, just like the 70's video on the website. We just saw a Twingo go into a spin and nearly roll" Thanks Mark!!
Do read all the encouraging safety advice on the internet
"You will probably be killed"
"Other peoples mistakes can kill you as easily as your own"
"The instructors have crashed so many times they have lost count"
"Most of the bends and crests are blind"
"If you wear a helmet you have a 15% higher chance of survival"
"I chatted to my friend in the car park. A couple of hours later he was dead"
There were crashes both times we went round. On Saturday a motorcyclist lost control just before us and we drove through the debris.
On Sunday another accident closed the circuit for around an hour. BUT when they re-opened it was cars only. We were all running for the cars...
If you ever get a chance to drive this circuit without bikes, don't miss it, the difference is huge.
Don't drive around with the passenger door open. (Simon!)
Don't be tempted to chase the GT3 RS that just went flying past. You won't keep up and will probably end up in hospital or worse.
And most importantly NEVER EVER drive more than one lap with 18" Michelin Pilot Sports! (Mark!)
